Background & Purpose of Creation

In B.E. 2535, Wat Tham Sa Phong organized the creation of a special batch of Phra Somdej amulets to preserve and transmit the sacred energy of Phong Phra Kasin Fai – a rare and highly revered holy powder traditionally made by combining 108 types of sacred materials. These materials included powders from ancient Buddha images, sacred soils from significant Buddhist sites, powdered herbs used in old Thai medical formulas, and holy ashes collected from previous consecrations.

The primary purpose was twofold:

1. Raise funds for temple restoration and Dharma propagation.

2. Distribute blessings of protection, wealth, and spiritual advancement to devotees.

Special Features

• Pim Kaiser: A distinctive mold resembling the imperial style of Phra Somdej, refined and well-proportioned.

• Lang Yant: The reverse side carries sacred yantra patterns, hand-pressed and spiritually empowered for protection, charm, and success.

• Phong Kasin Fai: This holy powder was made using the Kasina Fire meditation ritual, where the monk enters deep concentration while chanting and infusing sacred energy into the powder over an extended period.

Consecration Ceremony

The consecration was an elaborate multi-day ritual conducted both at Wat Tham Sa Phong and in joint blessing ceremonies with other sacred sites.

Key presiding masters included:

• Luang Phor Moon Tithasilo of Wat Ban Jan – Highly revered Isan meditation master, renowned for his ascetic discipline and mastery in consecrating sacred objects. His presence was considered a major spiritual anchor for the ceremony.

• Luang Phor Suang of Wat Phrai Phattana – Known as “The Teacher of Teachers,” with mystical abilities and deep knowledge of both Buddhist and esoteric traditions. His chanting and blessing rituals were said to greatly amplify the amulet’s spiritual potency.

The empowerment included:

1. Kasina Fire Ritual: To charge the powder with transformative energy, associated with removing obstacles, burning away negative karma, and empowering personal success.

2. 108 Monk Blessing Ceremony: Chanting the Itipiso 108 times while invoking the Triple Gem’s protection.

3. Final Night Vigil: A night-long session of continuous Pali chanting and yantra inscription under candlelight.
