The Phra Luang Pu Thuad Pim Yai Nur Wahn, B.E. 2506, consecrated at
Wat Prasat Boonyawat, is one of the most respected amulets linked to the
legendary saint Luang Pu Thuad. Crafted with sacred herbal powders and blessed in a grand
Putthapisek ceremony, this edition embodies both historical and spiritual power.

Background and Purpose

In B.E. 2506 (1963), Wat Prasat Boonyawat organized the Pim Yai Nur Wahn edition
in honor of Luang Pu Thuad’s miraculous reputation as a protector and savior. The purposes were:

  • Raise funds for temple restoration and religious activities.
  • Provide protective amulets for devotees during a time of social uncertainty.

Sacred Materials (Nur Wahn)

These amulets were made from Nur Wahn (sacred herbal powders), carefully blended
with:

  • Holy powders (Phong Itthijae, Phong Pathamang, Phong Maharach, Phong Trinisinghe)
  • Herbal plants with auspicious properties
  • Ashes of old sacred scriptures
  • Sacred soil and relic fragments from important sites

This mixture gave the Pim Yai BE2506 amulets their distinct texture, durability, and spiritual aura.

with many great monks participating, including:

  • Luang Pu Toh, Wat Pradoochimplee – among the most famous monks of his era.

The amulets were empowered with protective and benevolent energies through
days of meditation and ritual.
