Phra Mokkhalana Phra Sariputra Pim Yai Nur Phong BE2497 Luang Phor Khol (Lp Khol) Wat Pho Langka, Singburi

πŸ•‰οΈ History of the Making: Phra Mokkhalana – Phra Sariputra Pim Yai Nur Phong (B.E. 2497)

Created by Luang Phor Khol (Phra Khru Phothawiwat)

Wat Pho Langka, Chaksi Subdistrict, Mueang District, Singburi Province

πŸ“… Year of Creation

  • B.E. 2497 (1954)

  • Crafted during the golden age of Luang Phor Khol’s spiritual work, this amulet was among his earliest and most respected creations.

🎯 Purpose

  • To honor the two foremost disciples of the Buddhaβ€”Phra Mokkhalana, master of psychic abilities, and Phra Sariputra, master of wisdom.

  • Created to raise funds for temple renovations, including the ubosot, monk residences, and community Dhamma halls.

  • Intended as a sacred object to bestow protection, clarity of mind, good karma, and merit for devotees.

πŸ§ͺ Sacred Materials (Nur Phong)

  • Sacred herbal powder (Phong Wahn) from over 108 blessed herbs

  • Phong Itthijay and Kongkraphan powders, written on a slate board and wiped clean repeatedly over many years to collect magical dust

  • Old amulet fragments, especially Phra Somdej and early Singburi-region sacred powder

  • Incense ash, flower pollen, and holy soils collected from key pilgrimage sites

  • Hand-ground and mixed by Luang Phor Khol himself, using ancient consecration techniques

πŸ§˜β€β™‚οΈ Blessing Ceremony

  • Held at Wat Pho Langka, led by Luang Phor Khol

  • Sacred chanting sessions performed for three months with a final solo blessing by Luang Phor Khol in complete silence and meditation

  • Participating monks included senior teachers from Singburi and nearby provinces

🎨 Design and Features

  • Pim Yai (Large Mold) featuring dual seated figures of Phra Mokkhalana and Phra Sariputra in full-lotus posture

  • Both disciples are shown in Dhamma-conveying gesture (Vitarka Mudra), symbolizing teaching and enlightenment

  • Set against a curved arch (Prabhamandala), representing radiance and spiritual aura

  • The base of the amulet is triple-tiered, symbolizing the Three Jewels: Buddha, Dhamma, and Sangha

  • Rear side may include:

    • Stamped Yant symbols

    • Sacred inscriptions

    • Some versions contain temple code markings

  • Color: Ranges from earthy gray to dark brown depending on herb content

  • Texture: Slightly coarse with fine visible granules of herbal matter

🧿 Believed Powers

  • Phra Mokkhalana: Supernatural protection, insight, psychic resilience

  • Phra Sariputra: Wisdom, clarity, success in studies and decision-making

  • Combined virtues:

    • Protection from accidents and harm

    • Mindfulness and inner calm

    • Removal of obstacles

    • Favorable outcomes in both spiritual and worldly affairs

πŸ’° Rarity and Collector Value

  • Highly rare due to limited production and age

  • Well-preserved pieces are now sought-after in both domestic and international amulet communities

  • Certified examples often sell at a premium, especially if the rear symbols or codes are clear
