Description

**SOLD**

Phra Kring 9 Yod • BE2538 (1995)

Wat Suthat Thepwararam, Bangkok • Pim Yai • Nur Thong Daeng (Red-Bronze) • Healing Lineage

Main obverse — classic Wat Suthat Kring form in red-bronze, associated with healing and protective rites.

Historical Significance

Issued in BE2538 (1995 CE) by Wat Suthat Thepwararam, this Phra Kring 9 Yod (Pim Yai) continues the royal-temple healing lineage.
The edition supported restoration works and reaffirmed Wat Suthat’s reputation as a principal center for Phra Kring consecrations in Thailand.

Obverse detail — serene Kring posture associated with compassionate healing.

Contextual Insight: The softly audible inner kring bead is read as the “Dhamma in motion” — blessings that circulate through body and mind.
9 Yod” references nine excellences, a complete set of auspicious qualities sought by lay devotees.

Temple of Origin & Ritual Discipline

A first-class royal monastery, Wat Suthat conducts precise Putthapisek protocols with senior monastics.
The 9 Yod batch followed measured chant cycles and protective paritta, aligning with the temple’s long-standing Kring tradition.

Reverse / side — crisp casting lines and clean cavity seat for the inner bead.

Materials & Craftsmanship

Metal Matrix Nur Thong Daeng (red-bronze) with selected blessed metals for tonal stability and refined patina.
Inner Mechanism Traditional kring bead enclosed in the cavity; gentle ring signifies continuous blessings.
Pim / Size Pim Yai (large mold), aligned with Wat Suthat’s classic Kring proportions.

Base detail — neat base finish typical of Wat Suthat modern Kring issues.

Spiritual Function & Doctrinal Purpose

Traditionally embraced for Metta Mahaniyom (loving-kindness/popularity), Klaew Klaad (protection), Maha Lap (prosperity),
health and longevity, and stability in one’s path. The ringing core encourages mindfulness and compassionate action.

Rarity & Collector Significance

Collector-grade among mid-1990s royal-temple Kring editions. Sought for intact bead resonance, clean casting, original surface, and strong Wat Suthat provenance.
Authentic pieces with clear markings and well-kept patina are increasingly scarce.
