1. Historical Background

The Med Prik Niyom amulet is a small talismanic object shaped like a chili seed (“med prik”), which in Thai occult symbolism represents fire, repulsion of evil, and the stimulation of luck, love, and charisma.

Created in BE2470, this rare series was the work of Luang Phor Yee, the abbot of Wat Sattahip, and a legendary monk revered across the Eastern Seaboard for his command of Maha Sanae (charm), Kongkrapan (invulnerability), and protection magic.

This batch was created in very limited quantities, and only given to close disciples and military personnel, particularly during the pre-WWII era.

2. Significance of the “Med Prik” Shape

  • The chili seed shape is not coincidental: in Thai mystical lore, chili is a spiritual stimulant, used in rituals to:

    • Ward off spirits

    • Attract romantic favor

    • Repel black magic

    • Ignite fortune and charm

This form was designed to be easily hidden or carried discreetly, often in waistbands, sewn into garments, or kept in a pocket or purse.

3. Material Composition (Nur Ngern)

The Nur Ngern alloy used was a silver-blended sacred metal mixed with:

  • Fragments of old silver votive tablets and Yant-stamped foils

  • Sacred yantras melted and recast

  • Powder from charmed herbs and cemetery soils

  • Herbal resins used in attraction magic (e.g., dok payom, wan sao long)

The mixture was cast into chili seed-like pellets and hand-inscribed or blessed individually.

4. Consecration Ceremony

The ritual empowerment was conducted personally by LP Yee, over a period of several months:

  • Conducted under graveyard Tudong meditation

  • Reinforced through night chanting and solo invocations

  • Final consecration held at Wat Sattahip with selected local monks

The amulet is known to carry intense spiritual vibration, and was said to resonate or heat up when danger approached, as reported by some early wearers.

5. Spiritual Properties and Reported Benefits

The Med Prik Niyom BE2470 is believed to offer:

  • Maha Sanae (Great charm and attraction)

  • Metta Mahaniyom (Loving-kindness and popularity)

  • Klaew Klaad (Avoidance of danger)

  • Kongkrapan Chatri (Invincibility from harm)

  • Protection from black magic, spirit oppression, and misfortune

Stories abound of wearers who escaped danger, won courtship, or gained unexpected fortune shortly after acquiring one of these talismans.

6. Rarity and Collectibility

  • Extremely rare: Fewer than 100 pieces are believed to exist

  • Most were not made for sale but gifted by LP Yee himself

  • Pieces in original condition with Thaprachan certification command high five-figure prices (THB) in the collector market

  • Considered a master-class artifact among Thai talisman enthusiasts

7. Legacy of Luang Phor Yee

  • LP Yee was regarded as one of the most spiritually potent monks in Chonburi province

  • His other famous creations include Takrut Maha Sanae, Pha Yant, and Phra Pidta

  • Passed away around BE2492, leaving behind a legacy of highly potent and deeply revered amulets
