Description

Phra Khun Paen Sao Ha Fang Tarkut • BE2553

Wat Nai Tao, Trang • Archan Prasut • Sao Ha Auspicious Batch with Inserted Tarkut (Code 73)

Main overview — Sao Ha Khun Paen with embedded tarkut, consecrated by Archan Prasut of Wat Nai Tao.

Historical Significance

This Phra Khun Paen Sao Ha Fang Tarkut was created around BE2553 (2010) under the auspices of
Archan Prasut, the highly respected magical master of Wat Nai Tao, Trang in Southern Thailand.
The term “Sao Ha” refers to an auspicious astrological date traditionally chosen for strong prosperity and luck rites,
making this batch particularly favoured by devotees seeking charm, wealth, and protection. The inclusion of tarkut
(inserted metal scroll) further intensifies its wicha, combining Khun Paen’s classic maha saneh profile with
concentrated protective and attraction formulas.

Obverse — Khun Paen seated in the pavilion, with visible tarkut and rich powder texture.

Contextual Insight: Archan Prasut’s fame in the South comes from his strong wicha
inherited from senior masters and Wat Kao Or lineages, especially in charm, protection, and wealth-attraction amulets.
Khun Paen from Wat Nai Tao represent a modern continuation of the maha saneh tradition: combining sacred powders, oils,
and tarkut with concentrated chanting cycles. The Sao Ha timing gives the batch a reputation for sharp, fast-acting results
in matters of opportunity, income, and relationships.

Temple of Origin & Master’s Discipline

Wat Nai Tao in Trang is known among collectors for its strong wicha arkom (protective magic) and
wicha maha saneh (charm & attraction), especially under Archan Prasut. His practice emphasizes
disciplined meditation, traditional Southern-style magical formulas, and meticulous material selection. Many devotees testify
to improvements in business, negotiations, and personal magnetism after carrying his amulets, which are often empowered with
blowing rites, katha recitation, and the insertion of tarkut carrying layered mantras.

Reverse — shows the code, sacred markings, and compacted powder base characteristic of Wat Nai Tao production.

Tarkut insert — close-up of the embedded metal scroll, a key component of Archan Prasut’s charm and protection wicha.

Materials & Craftsmanship

Material Sacred powder matrix (pong) mixed with herbs, temple earth, and ritual ingredients, with inserted metal tarkut carrying mantras.
Mold / Pim Khun Paen pim with pronounced pavilion frame, detailed robe folds, and clearly stamped batch markings (Code 73).
Consecration Consecrated on Sao Ha auspicious date with Putthapisek chanting, blowing rites, and specific wealth–charm–protection formulas of Archan Prasut.

Spiritual Function & Doctrinal Purpose

According to Thai belief, this Khun Paen supports strong maha saneh (attraction), metta mahaniyom
(loving-kindness & popularity), and maha lap (wealth & opportunity), with added khae rop
(protection from harm) through the tarkut and protective wicha. Devotees commonly wear it for business luck, sales, negotiations,
and smoother interpersonal relations, while still anchoring their practice in recitation of Buddhist katha and merit-making.

Rarity & Collector Significance

This piece is regarded as collector-grade within modern Khun Paen lines, especially desirable due to its
Sao Ha timing, tarkut insertion, and clear batch code 73.
Among Archan Prasut’s works, well-preserved examples with crisp features and intact tarkut are increasingly sought after,
as early batches become harder to source. Collectors pay close attention to powder density, edge behaviour, and consistency
with known Wat Nai Tao casts when authenticating.
