The Phra Somdej Pim Na Thewada Lang “T” BE2500 is one of the most significant amulets
created by Luang Phor Tae Kongthong of Wat Sam Ngam. Produced in B.E. 2500 (C.E. 1957)

in amulet-making and his devotion to preserving ancient Buddhist traditions.

Overview of Phra Somdej Pim Na Thewada Lang “T” BE2500

Historical Background

In B.E. 2500, marking 2500 years of Buddhism, Luang Phor Tae produced several sacred editions
including the Suan Tao bell, 3rd generation coins, and the Somdej Lang T. Among these,
the Lang T edition has earned widespread respect due to its composition of powerful sacred powders and
its profound consecration ceremony.

Sacred Materials

For years leading up to B.E. 2500, Luang Phor Tae carefully collected and prepared rare powders and
materials for this batch:

  • Substance from Somdej Bang Khun Phrom: Broken amulets and sacred powders gifted by
Phra Khru Amorn Khanachan (Seng), former abbot of Wat Mai Amataros. This included powder from the
2500 B.E. crypt and earlier Somdej fragments.
  • Na Phathamang Powder: Created by repeatedly writing and erasing sacred scripts
(Na Phatthakappa), molded into sticks and re-processed nine times. Each cycle was blessed by
Luang Phor Tae, imbuing the powder with extraordinary potency.
  • Dvaravati Buddha fragments: Ancient relics from Mueang Tum and Wat Sam Ngam area,
ground into powder and incorporated into the mixture.

Creation and Process

The pressing of the Lang T amulets was a collaborative effort. Monks, novices, and lay devotees at
Wat Sam Ngam assisted under the supervision of Luang Phor Tae and
Luang Phor Suea. Witnesses described a sacred fragrance surrounding the temple during
the molding process — a sign of the amulets’ inherent spiritual power even before consecration.

Consecration Ceremony

The amulets were blessed in a grand Phutthaphisek ceremony, where Luang Phor Tae was
joined by other senior monks. Through extended chanting, meditation, and invocations, the Lang T batch
was empowered with lasting protective and benevolent energies.

Spiritual Significance

The Phra Somdej Pim Na Thewada Lang T BE2500 is renowned for:

  • Klaew Klaad: Protection from danger, accidents, and weapons.
  • Kongkrapan: Invulnerability and resilience in times of conflict.
  • Metta Mahaniyom: Enhancing charm, goodwill, and business success.
  • Great fortune: Attracting prosperity and blessings for devotees.

Legacy and Value

Today, this edition is considered one of the most powerful Somdej amulets created by
Luang Phor Tae. Its combination of rare sacred powders, ancient relics, and deep
blessings make it highly sought after by both collectors and practitioners for its protection and merit.
