Description

Sian Phra Phrom Si Na • BE2517

Wat Sakae, Ayutthaya • Certified by Thaprachan

Main obverse — classic four-faced Brahma form, pressed in early-period Nur Phong of Luang Pu Du.

Historical Significance

Issued in BE2517 (1974) at Wat Sakae, Ayutthaya, this edition represents the early sacred powder creations of
Luang Pu Du (Phra Ajahn Du Phrommintho).
Produced during a period of heightened faith in Phra Phrom (Brahma), this batch was consecrated through a full
Putthapisek (ritual empowerment) with prolonged mantra cycles. It was created to support devotees seeking prosperity, clarity, and protection
through Brahma’s four-fold virtues.

Reverse — clear powder compression with early-period Wat Sakae granularity.

Contextual Insight:
Luang Pu Du’s Sian Phra Phrom follows the Ayutthaya Brahmanic–Buddhist tradition, integrating wicha (sacred formula) for
Maha Lap (great fortune), Metta Mahaniyom (charm & kindness), and mental clarity.
His powder formula includes sacred scriptures, old temple soil, and ritual ash—hallmarks of his pre-2520 production era.

Temple of Origin & Master’s Discipline

Wat Sakae, Ayutthaya is closely linked to the meditative lineage of Luang Pu Du.
The master emphasised Samatha–Vipassana, believing that amulet creation must arise from a calm, purified mind.
His discipline of wicha akson (“sacred activation through mindfulness”) is reflected in the balanced proportions and
gentle surface textures seen in this batch, where religious aesthetics and meditative stillness meet.

Competition-certified example — confirming authenticity of early BE2517 casts.

Materials & Craftsmanship

Material Nur Phong (scripture powder, sacred ash, old temple soil, pollen mixture)
Mold / Pim Pim Si Na — four-faced Brahma, proportionate crown, clean facial lines and defined throne base
Consecration Full-day Putthapisek with extended Brahma mantra cycles led by Luang Pu Du and temple monks

Side/detail — powder layering and hand-press marks typical of early Wat Sakae production.

Spiritual Function & Doctrinal Purpose

According to Thai Buddhist belief, Phra Phrom supports Maha Lap (great fortune), Metta Mahaniyom
(loving-kindness & attraction), and wisdom and clarity in planning and decision-making.
Devotees wear this amulet for business success, opportunity, and stabilising personal energy while maintaining right view and ethical conduct.

Rarity & Collector Significance

Assessed as Collector-grade Rare.
Early BE2517 powder casts are limited and increasingly difficult to obtain in well-preserved condition.
Collectors verify: powder texture, facial clarity, edge compression, and surface granularity.
Certified examples occasionally appear in Samakom and competition circuits, and pieces with sharp details and original surfaces are
regarded as highly desirable holdings in a Luang Pu Du collection.
