Born in Nong Phai Lueang, Phetchaburi Province to Mr. Kong and Mrs. Pae, the youngest of five siblings.

Began studying Dhamma at age 11 at Wat Nong Wa.

Served in the military and police force before becoming disenchanted with worldly life.

Ordained in B.E. 2470 (1927) at Wat Na Prohm, Phetchaburi.

Spent time in Tudong practice and later studied at Wat Saphan Sung.
